Product Description

The MoYu AoLong GT is now available! The AoLong GT is the latest version of the highly successful MoYu AoLong V2 cube. It features various improvements aimed at greater stability, reduced corner twisting, and an overall superior speedcubing experience.

The MoYu AoLong GT is also available in many additional colors that were previously not available on MoYu 3x3s, including Teal, Grey, and Brown.

Stock Color Scheme: The MoYu AoLong GT features a new color scheme that is different from MoYu's typical color scheme. The colors are more similar to the stock sticker shades on the DaYan/ShengShou (as well as Gans) cubes now. The change was made exclusively for the AoLong GT since the designers didn't like the feel of the thicker MoYu stickers on the AoLong GT.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

After 2 years of being used as my main, here are my thoughts

This was my first real speed cube. I bought it after I had mastered the beginner method and just wanted a solid all around cube, which the AoLong GT definitely is.

With it I was able to learn some advanced methods and wildy improve my finger tricks, it was a great cube to bring me into the world of speed cubing and to bring my times down under 45 seconds from upwards of 80 seconds. It may be good for a seasoned speed solver, but I'm not one, so I don't know.

After 2 years, the stickers have begun to chip slighty, and the cube is a bit loose, it's catching and not really doing too well as I try to move my times sub-30. But considering I have never lubed it or adjusted it's tensions, up until I started cubing more maybe a month ago, it had absolutely no issues, and was a great, consistent cube for 2 years, and it's still my main. With some tensioning and maybe some lube, I'm sure it'll be good as new.

Corners pop off almost every solve.

This cube has to be hands down one of the best out there. It is my main cube but unfortunately, the corners pop off almost every solve and it is really annoying. I had to use super glue to glue them all on so they never fall off again.

Catches tons

It catches tons and I get stuck between algs. Would recommend to a beginner but not to a hardcore speedcuber.

Sticker issue

My friend has one of these. it has good corner cutting,no corner twisting because if the squared off corners, smooth, crunchy, and controllable. But the stickers were what made me give this 3 stars. Dull shades, and MAJOR chipping. It peels and chips every 2-3 solves. the white side was chipped badly.

Main Worthy, but not for me.

My friend and I traded cubes today, so we could contribute more reviews to the cubicle. I borrowed his AoLong GT, (Obviously,) and he borrowed my Gans 356 Air. He lubed the AoLong GT with lubicle standard, and had it on fairly tight tensions. The forward cornercutting is shabby, at only 50 degrees, though that may be due to his tensions. However, a full piece of reverse says otherwise. It is quite stable, and It doesn't corner twist. I did notice some catching issues while turning quickly, though.

My first turns were actually quite unpleasant. The puzzle felt really heavy, and it felt a tad gummy. As I continued to solve it, however, The gumminess went away. (I guess he hadn't broken in the lube yet.) The puzzle got faster, and I started to enjoy it. The M slices are a little slow, so I wouldn't recommend it to Roux solvers. CFOP flows well, due to the momentum of the heavy pieces. ZZ also flows great, but the Shengshou color scheme hindered my Eoline recognition. If you don't have small hands, it is a great choice for OH, because the heavy weight eliminates the fear of the cube flying out of your hands while solving.

The plastic feels exactly like thunderclap plastic, which is a great bonus. It is snappy, like the Dayan Guhong V2, and is crunchier than a dry bowl of Captain Crunch. It is the polar opposite of the Gans 356 Air. The Air is light and quiet, while the AoLong GT is heavy and loud. While I personally don't like the feeling of the AoLong GT, I know a lot of people do, so don't let my opinion stop you form buying this. It is still a great 3x3, and I do highly recommend it to anybody who likes heavy and loud cubes.

SO GOOOOOOOOOOD

This thing is epic. Crunchy, smooth, and quick yet controllable. Excellent corner cutting, stability, anti popping mech, and anti corner twisting mech. Super smooth......

Great cube

I really love this cube. I've had it since January and at first it felt odd. But after breaking it in and using it a lot it has become my main with no regrets. I can control it very well, and the pieces feel a very good weight. Corner cutting is superb and it never locks up. I keep mine up with weight 3 lube because otherwise it can get a bit fast.

way too fast

way too fast-feels lika hualong on steiroids.I put in heavy lube and tightened until i couldn't cut 45% and still, i can make 270 degree flicks.

very good

I absolutely LOVE this cube i got it for a birthday present and its my new main. its has a smooth bumpy feel and is EXTREMELY fast. sometimes its a little to fast for me and its very heavy and loose out of the box. although it doesn't corner twist as much as the Aolong V2 but it still does corner twist. honestly i think this puzzle is less stable than the Aolong V2. also, the stock shades of this cube SUCKS. in bad lighting it is very hard to tell the colors apart. i wish Moyu had stuck with their usual shades for this puzzle. also it catches. i mean the corner cutting is very good but sometimes the squared off corner design back fires and get caught on each other. i'm very happy with the overall product and i would recomend this cube

Probably one of the best

This cube is HEAVEN. The corner cutting isn't the best, however, the speed is great! It also has minimal resistance. They don't call it GT for nothing.
