The MoYu BoChuang GT is the latest cube in MoYu's highly successful and groundbreaking series of 5x5s. Just like the AoChuang and HuaChuang before it, the BoChuang GT is expected to be another step up from the current 5x5s on the market.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

This cube is fantastic. It moves so well right out of the box. A friend tried it out and described it as "This thing just wants to fall into the shape of a cube" and he's totally right. The corner-cutting is great. I've only seen it lock up when I'm being really sloppy with my turns, which is understandable because I know I should continue cleaning up my precision if I want to crunch my solve time a bit.
I lubed it up with Lubicle Weight 2 and after breaking it in it moves even better. I might try another lubricant soon because I just ordered the premium lube kit. If I notice major differences I'll come back to update with what I did.
All in all, I highly recommend this cube as a great 5x5 speed cube to start with. I'm able to focus on learning the algorithms while practicing precision with my finger tricks. Before this cube I had a Meffert's tiled 5x5 which was big, slow, and clunky (and popped a lot). It use to take me 10 - 20 minutes to solve. I was immediately able to solve this one in 5 - 7 minutes. It feels sturdy, is easy to move and practice on, holds lube well, and is an all-around great cube to have as your 5x5 main.
I got this cube right after it came out, and with my extended period of time on it, I can definitely recommend it. It is very sandy out of the box, but after a considerable break-in, it becomes smooth and crunchy. The outer layers are a dream, and make the 3x3 stage quite fun. Stock tensions are perfect for me, and I see no need in changing them. Over the almost two years I've had this cube, I've gone from a 10 minute average to a 2:45 average.
Corner-cutting: just over one cubie for normal, and about a third of a cubie for reverse. Overall, not that great.
Feel: Buttery, crunchy, smooth, and really really nice. As mentioned, outer layers are fantastic. The inner layers feel similar to the outer ones: fast and crunchy. They can lock sometimes, due to overshooting.
This cube has a minor catching issue, but that might be due to the fairly tight tensions and the fact that this cube is old.
This cube performs very very nicely and I'm very happy with the purchase I've made. It's lasted me almost two years and it's a lot of fun to solve.
I got the stickerless version of the BoChuang, and I love the bright color scheme! It turns very well, with good corner cutting for a 5x5, but reverse corner cutting is not great. I have already broken my PB 3 times on this cube after having it only for a day, and it will most likely be my main for a long time.
This cube is amazing! The sticker shades are awesome and are easily distinguishable from eachother.
The outer and inner layers turn smoothly with a buttery feel and are very fast. Not slugghish at all.
The corner cutting is also great. About a piece and a half normally and 4/5ths of a cubie reverse.
I have experience some big cube lock ups. They're very rare and easy to fix.
If you're wondering whether you should get this or the Yuxin, I would recommend this cube 9/10 times.
I have a really accurate turning style and this cube fits me perfectly. I whole heartedly reccommend it.
Out of the box, this cube is very, very sandy and does not make much noise. It has a bit of spring noise, but with through break in, it goes away. With proper break-in, it has a smooth feeling and fast 3x3 stage. This became my main because it is my only 5x5, and I have heard that the WuShuang is better, but for now, this will have to do. Overall, this cube is a intermediate speedcube with a potential to be many people's mains.
I think it's a small but awesome puzzle. Also it's a little gummy out of the box but after 2 or 3 solves, the lube breaks in. I don't know about you guys but this is my main 5x5 and I highly recommend it to you.
This is definetly the best 5x5 to hit the market! it is superior to the yuxin and not sure about the new weichuang gts that is coming out. i got it in stickerless and the shades are amazing! out of the box it was a little sandy with a quite crunchy type feeling. corner cutting is average. speed is nice. so there's pretty much nothing to dislike about the bouchuang gt hope you found the useful!
This cube is a great 5x5. It is a bit pricey compared to the other 5x5's on the market, but it dominates them all except for maybe the yuxin. All in all this is a great cube except that I got a defected piece, but that is okay. Still a great cube.
There are many things I love about this cube. The sticker shades are the awesome Moyu shades and don't chip. The cube has larger outer layers that help with grip and the 3x3 stage. This cube has amazing corner cutting (for a 5x5). At moderately tight tensions, it can corner cut about 1.2 pieces forward and about half a piece for reverse. The feeling can be described as scratchy and dry out of the box and a little less dry and smooth after breaking in. This cube is really controllable and doesn't overshoot. This cube does lockup up sometimes, when you're turning roughly or quickly. But the lockups are incredibly easy to fix and put back. The cube can be a bit faster. I would definitely recommend this cube to anyone going into 5x5 or if you're fast, and this is better than the YuXin in my opinion. I average 1:50-1:40.
The BoChaung GT has very good control and is a perfect size. Also corner cutting was great and this is the right cube for you if you are a speed 5x5 solver.
