MoYu WeiLong GTS - Unstickered

Although the manafacturing has stopped for the weilong gts. I put some celeritas and dnm in it and it was smooth as fast. This is a great gift from one cuber to another. 10/10 would recommend. ps. Set it up before you turn it.

It was good out of the box, but after using it for a while it wears out.

If I were to write a review for each Weilong GTS I've purchased over the past several months, I could easily occupy several pages here of my own, giving the highest accolades while lavishing praise on this extremely versatile cube! I think my cube count is at least nine now with the GTS. I think what I like so much about it is it's a great solid cube that you can customize to just about any kind of feel. It's also a great cube to experiment with while trying some of the latest trends in mods. It's for this latter reason I recently purchased three Illusion DIY kits. Having a non lubed cube has its benefits if you're going to mod it and don't mind doing the stickering and later lubing yourself.

Here's the story:
So I purchased this product awhile back. One week after it came out, to be exact. When I got it, I stickered it. Since I heard about the break in tools/case thing, I thought I had to break it in a bit. So I began to mess around with the cube. However, it was SOOOO SLOOOOWWW. Like, worse than a Rubik's brand. It caught like crazy, was ultra sluggish, and was more wobbly than an old Gans 356. I am horribly disappointed that I don't get the same experience as all the others.

This is my first high-end cube (I had a budget ShengShou Legend for a couple of weeks before getting this one) and I'm absolutely loving it!

Like the description says, it comes fully assembled but unstickered and without lube. I used my own color scheme (which I also purchased here) and also bought some Traxxas 50k lube for it.

Straight out of the box with no lube, this cube felt very scratchy/crunchy/dry and wasn't much faster than a Rubik's brand, but once I got it stickered and lubed it got incredibly fast. So fast that I had to tighten the screws a bit just to make it controllable since I'm a beginner. Now it's easily my favorite cube, and being able to put my own custom color scheme on it was a lot of fun. I'd definitely recommend this cube to anyone wanting a faster speed cube, and it also has great corner cutting. You'll definitely want to order some lube if you get the unstickered version, but I'm glad they don't lube it before shipping because the lube might have made it more difficult to apply the stickers.

This is my first (good) stickered 3x3. I've been going stickerless since my moyu hualong about 2 mains back. I stickered it myself and my only complaint is that the postman shoved my cube into the mailbox in a way where i had to pull it out and ruin the stickers (it's a very narrow rectangular mailbox and I also picked up an aosu) Not all of my stickers where ruined, but the yellow that I was going to use was so I ended up using the moyu shade yellow. Thanks to the postman my only different colour is my orange. Anyways, I have really been enjoying this cube. It's super difficult to pop. It came really dry but that's probably because I ordered the unstickered version. After lubing it with weight 4 in the core and lubicle speedy on the pieces, I have a very fast cube. And I mean super fast. Faster than my Hualong ever was, which is perfect for me because I have a very light turning style. For people with slower TPS or prefer more stable cubes I would not reccomend this, but it is perfect for me and I hope to be using it as my main until a new good cube comes out.

The unstickered gts came extremely dry and sluggish, but after weight 4 on the core and a load on the pieces it is VERY crispy, light, and almost uncontrollably fast
