The QiYi Coin Pyraminx is a fairly intuitive puzzle. The name comes from the turnable circle (coin) shape in the middle of each face. This is a fun, interesting looking puzzle that is sure to please puzzle enthusiasts of all levels.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

I just got it because it looked cool, i didn't have it and was inexpensive. I was fairly disappointed about how easy it was...like (really?!??) easy...but then gave it to my 6yo. He loves all the puzzles I have but isn't really interested in learning to do them. But this one was the perfect blend of easy to figure out + looks difficult to give him a sense of accomplishment for finishing it. So it turned out to be a great buy.
Absolutely love this puzzle! I just got it today, January 31st, 2020 2022 and I did not expect it to actually click like the original pyraminx. It is VERY smooth OOTB and I'm already attacking it from all angles. I thank Cubastic for showing this off as a "simple yet difficult" puzzle.
I would say this is the easiest "cube" that I own but that doesn't make it a bad puzzle. No complex algorithms are required to solve it. I would highly recommend this one for kids who are just getting started with puzzles like this. It will help with their confidence so they can move on to more difficult puzzles feeling like they have the ability to solve it.
The Coin Pyraminx is a great first step for cubers looking to go beyond the classic 3x3. The coins require a beginner-level cycle of pieces, which is great for introducing people to the concept of cycling and basic commutators. Anybody can solve it given a few minutes to play with it, but it's still a fun puzzle to play around with and use to expand your knowledge!
I'm a beginner, and i like this puzzle, which i saw on JRCuber's YT channel, where i get all my puzzle ideas to buy.
So much fun to mess around with and solve. Excellent sticker quality and plastic quality. A fun little pyraminx variations. Probably my favorite one so far. I reccomend everyone give this a go. Such an enjoyable puzzle to solve.
No algorithms needed, this is a purely intuitive puzzle. My 8yo daughter loves my coin cube, so this one was a no brainer. It’s well made, turns easily, and looks great
This cube turns easily and is very very cool to play with. Turning is smooth. Color shades are awesome.
This is another characteristically great non-WCA puzzle by Qiyi. It is a good size, the same as Qiyi’s pyraminx. The turning on both the corners and face-wheels is smooth and the corners also have nice ball bearings. The shades are good. The puzzle is not very challenging, but is very satisfying to solve. I would recommend this over Qiyi’s duomo pyraminx.
