The QiYi Thunderclap 3x3 is the latest speed cube in QiYi's MoFangGe series. The mechanism appears to be an improved version of the QiYi Bullfight. Out of the box, it turns smoothly and has a clacky feeling. It comes in a large box with a high-quality mesh cube bag.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

I liked the cube, great for what I need, I only wished I got the stickerless model
The Thunderclap 3x3 is one of the best cubes for $5 and up. It feels very premium, like as if it was priced at $24.99. I put some Weight 5 on the torpedoes and Mystic on the pieces. It made a very smooth feel, though retaining its initial speed.
As this is my first speed cube, I don't have anything to compare this to, but I think this is a great budget cube. It is pretty scratchy right out of the box, but after about 15-20 solves (for me at least) the cube is smoother and turns way better. Adding dnm - 37 makes the cube way faster. I haven't added magnets yet but I am looking forward to doing that. Plus the mesh bag is a very nice. I would rate this cube 10/10 and would recommend it to any beginner/intermediate solvers.
For a budget cube, extremely impressed
Overall, great budget cube!
Out of the box doing a few solves, it had a somewhat gritty feeling, but after 10 or so break in solves, it began to get faster quickly. I definitely recommend this cube for beginner/intermediate cubers, also for those with a tight budget. This is one of the first cubes I got when I started cubing and will always be one of my favorites.
The mesh bag is also a nice inclusion. Great cube!
I immediately feel in love with this cube as soon as I turned the first layer. Before I had this a plastic dollar cube so this is a HUGE upgrade. Over all the turning and corner-cutting of this cube is really close to professional cubes.(as far as I know.) I was super excited when my Thunderclap came in the mail. When I opened up the box I was happy to see the cube and a little black bag to hold to my cube in, but sadly the string to close the bag broke in about 2 weeks.
I would differently recommend this to any beginners looking for a cheap but good cube.
Really good cube with great turning quality. The cube is very smooth, although there is a slight spring noise on one of the faces. It gets annoying but lubing it will fix the problem.
This cube was my second after my pretty bad amazon "speedcube." I've tried other cubes but this one was great. I lube it heavily with Traxxas 50K, and the cube was silky smooth with a slight hint of bumpiness. The cube was a slow and controllable one, though corner twists happen from time to time and it doesn't retain it's shape for the most part. But on one occasion, the corner stalk snapped, but to be honest, I was being pretty rough with the cube at the time.
Overall, this is a great cube, an old one but it competes with many of the top budget and mid-range priced cubes.
out of the box it is okay. After putting a lot of weight 5 it feels like a less expensive gans air with rounded corners
after about 5 months of intense cubing, it does not hold up. It is way too clicky, and not smooth at all. It started off feeling like sand when you moved it, a little grainy, but fairly smooth. Now it isn't.
