Product Description

The QiYi Thunderclap 3x3 is the latest cube in QiYi's MoFangGe series. The mechanism appears to be an improved version of the QiYi Bullfight. Out of the box, it turns smoothly and has a clacky feeling.

Note: This DIY Kit actually comes assembled but without any stickers (stock stickers + logo are included with the DIY Kit). This is ideal for someone who plans to resticker the cube anyway and doesn't want to take time removing the stickers. Please note that the cube is also not pre-lubricated from the factory to help facilitate putting the stickers on.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Great Cube!!

The thunderclap out of the box is a little loose but after tensioning, it is pretty good. I also added lube to slow it down, and it reduced catching. It has a small problem with corner - twisting, but that is fine in my opinion. It is a little crunchier, but in my opinion it feels more satisfying that way. The price feels a little too low if you think about how well the cube turns. It is currently my main until I find a better cube. which I think will take a while considering how good this cube is!

Great Cube!

The turning on the cube is really smooth and fast. It doesnt catch that often and is nearly unpoppable.
This cube is my new main!

Corner Cuts+ corner flips-

Corner cutting is smooth and quick. However, this cube will flip corners. The faster the solve the more likely you'll flip a corner. Overall, a decent cube out of the box but after a couple hundred solves needs just a little lube. First cube I bought and i prefer it over several other professional cubes i have tried. Don't expect world records but it will bring a few seconds off most cubes. There are better cubes but this cube is still great.

Very good cube

I got the DIY kit, and out of the box it was pretty slow and sandy, which is expected as there is no lube. I applied the stickers and solved it a few times, then I lubed it and it is now my best cube at the moment. Good for all types of cubers.

it was overall awesome it was fast and it came pre-lubed. the only drawback is that is was covered in dust and sand.

Excellent Cube

Only reason I rated it 4 stars is because it corner twists. It has a vet smooth feel and if lubed with maru lube it would be extremely fast. It has very good corner cutting although sometimes it can lock up. Out of the box it can be scratchy and slow(maybe) but after breaking in it is an amazing cube.
It also flexes a lot.. Would recommend to intermediate cubers as an all rounder. Great flow and speed with a hint of smoothness

This cube is crazy good. Like seriously I mean it. Although it can have 1 corner twist in every 100 solves, there are no other flaws on this cube. Firstly, my F perms on this cube are crazy fast. I always get like 0.9-1.1 on other cubes, while on the Qiyi Thunderclap, I can get 0.7-0.8! What I'm trying to say here is that the Qiyi Thunderclap is an extremely fluid cube. Out of the box it was a little scratchy and uncontrollably fast, but after breaking in with weight 4 in the core n on the pieces, it became SUPER SMOOTH n controllable at the same time. This cube is also really versatile, it can be setup to my likings. If I put Lubicle speedy on the cube, it retains the scratchy feel out of the box. It's only 9$. GET IT

Amazing cube!

I have been looking for a cube just like the aolong v2 for a while considering the aolong V2 has been my main. When this cube came on, I was scepticle. But when I saw a bunch of reviews about it, I was quite impressed. This cube had the agility of a aolong V2, while containing the stabibility of a tanglong. This cube is an amazing cube, and I definitly recommend people buy this cube.

Similar to the Dayan Zhanchi, but WAY Better

I was really excited to get my first unstickered cube, and was especially excited that it was a QiYi Thunderclap, a cube that many people use as their main.

The performance of the cube is very different. After lubing it and breaking it in, the cube flows very well. The corner cutting is a bit more than 45 degrees, which is pretty average, considering all the cubes these days. Plus, who really needs to reverse corner cut? (Reverse corner cutting is ALMOST line to line, and some Maru Cushion Lube would help getting that reverse to line to line.)

The feeling is crunchy, but that entirely depends on how the owner of the cube lubes it. I lubed it with some weight 2 and 3, but I have let the lube sort of dry off, and now it isn't as smooth as before, but its more controllable.

I hope you enjoyed my review of the QiYi Thunderclap (by reading all this) and hopefully it helped you!
