Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

The Rubik's of Megaminxes

I've had this cube for quite some time now, but just recently figured out what brand it was. Let's start off with the pros: it turns smoothly.
Now for the cons: Corner cuts about 7 degrees and and reverse corner cuts about 0 degrees.
Locks up every 2 turns because it has literally no corner cutting.
Don't try to loosen the tensions at all, it just becomes a popping machine.
Catches like crazy.
As you can see, the cons heavily outweigh the pros. Do yourself a favor, and get the YuXin Megaminx.

Pretty meh

I've done some solves on this and i'm confident to say that this megaminx is really bad. It pops all the time and turns as if it were a rubiks megaminx. Please just buy a YJ or a x-man megaminx for the safetey of your hands

It's kinda on the bad side

Well, when I got the cube, some of the stickers had air bubbles and peeling off, and it turned fine, but about a couple days later, part of the core broke. I suggest getting a more durable cube.

its ok

this cube is iffy when turning out of the box and lube doesn't work well on this. Plus when it arrived the box was extremely beat up. I was suprized to say this cube isn't good

It turns well out the box, needs a lot of work. Has next to no corner cutting, very good for beginners. Stickers start to peal after 2-3 solves, I would recommend buying an extra set of stickers with this cube.

I got this cube for my birthday, and it's meh. It's slow, but smooth. The stickers are peeling already after just 2 solves.

Review

I got this megaminx a few days ago and out the box it was ok. It was my first Megaminx, so I didn't now what to expect. But anyway, the stickers are not high quality, they are already peeling. Also, lock-ups are huge. The lock ups are horrible and will sometimes cause it to pop. Overall f you are on a budget go ahead and get this megaminx, of not I recommend you get something like the Yuhu. Hope this helps you.

Good, but could be Better

This is a decent cube and I think it's great for a first Megaminx. It has decent corner cutting, is affordable, and it's very smooth. Although, I think the stickers that come with it could be a little bit less glossy. Almost every time I go to play with it, I find myself struggling to turn the faces because the stickers are too slippery. It's a quality cube, but it could use a change of stickers.
