Product Description

The ShengShou 6x6 V2 is the updated version of the original ShengShou 6x6. The revisions to the internal mechanism are minor, and are most noticeable on the internal pieces and the corner pieces.

The revision actually occurred several months ago, but it was not announced and we just discovered the change recently.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Good enough

Good enough if you average 3 minutes or slower. Getting 2:40's on this makes it pop 1/4 of solves and it feels very unstable at that speed. I know most don't speed solve 6x6 as often as smaller cubes so I recommend this for the type who practices only a few times per week. I loved mine for years.

You are better off buying the MoFang6 for the same quality and lower cost.

Good starter

Its a nice cube I dont use it intensely just casual pick up play put it down but its fun and turning quality is nice and feels smooth after breaking it in. I dont however like it for speed solving as the layers dont stay aligned very well but in the end its a good cube.

it's an alright cube.

the stickers are great, haven't had to replace any of them in a year or so. The range of corner cutting is pretty small. The turning is pretty slow, my arms actually got sore once from solving it for too long. Being a ShengShou, there are catches, and they are deadly, and I mean it. if you're not careful of the catches, it will completely explode. I have some SERIOUS respect for whoever first came up with the mechanism for the 6x6, since I had to reassemble it from the ground up, TWICE.

It's a Shenshou

The reason I give this a 2 star is because within a week, it started getting slower and I got more lockups. This cube is kind of crappy, but I haven't lubed it yet. The quality of the stickers are stinky too. Within the first few weeks, I already lost about 3 green stickers. Decent cheap 6x6 for a beginner, but by all means, get a Mofang Jiaoshi or a Moyu. What else can I say? It's a Shenshou, so it's great for the first week or two. If you don't lube your cubes, don't get this.

Great Cube

Smooth, slight locks, all layers are butter, was slightly stiff out of box, had it for a day now and has become much quicker. Complaint? Shipping time...

Ehh.

A bit better than the v1. But out of the box, it was really slow, but with barely loosening it, it was a bit better. But it pops quite often, and the inner pices which keep the pieces in place pop out a lot. I only have had it for 2 days, and it is still slow and gummy. If you have the money, by either the aofu, weishi, or wuhua. This is alright but nothing revolutionary.
