Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

This is my first megaminx, I was hugely impressed!
The cube was a bit slow, to begin with, but I loosened it up and It felt very interesting, VERY smooth, yet almost oily. After a few solves, I began to notice the spring clicking with almost every turn, I don't know why it does this, but it can get quite annoying during solves. It isn't the fastest cube on the market, but I personally thought it was perfect for a beginner like me, and maybe with some tweaks and lube, also great for an intermediate/expert.
This cube looks very nice and moves very smooth only complaint is typical shengshou lube overdose
I believe that this is the best Megaminx ever. Out of the box, the cube turns very good. It is extremely very smooth. Also this cube is very stable. I tried to disassemble it but it took me a lot of time to take all the pieces apart. Of course, it also took me a lot of time to put them back in place. So I think there will be no popping with the cube.
However, out of the box, when I solve the cube I can hear the sound of the spring inside the core. I don't know if this is a good thing or not but I loosened the spring anyway. Otherwise, I hope the manufacturer will make a stickerless Megaminx since some stickers are about to be peeled off (but that's not a big concern).
After all, this is the best Megaminx ever in my opinion and I think I will recommend every one to buy this cube. More money for the better one.
This cube turns really good out of the box, my only compact is that a few sides are REALLY springy, and i wish it had bigger ridges, that corner cutting is REALLY good this is a good buy if you are starting or just starting to solve sub 3. i did not need to set it up at all
Lubed with four drops of Maru lube on the pieces, traxxas 50k on the core. Loosened A LOT from stock tensions.
OOTB: A sticker was already chipped, but turned quite nicely. This is my first megaminx. A lot of spring noise though, and the springs were kind of rusty.
Looks: Standard megamix shape with Shengshou/Dayan shades. Sadly, many stickers were chipped on my first day, so sticker quality isn't great, and there is no stickerless versions. Small ridges to accommodate with the grip. Florian holes were added to help with corner cutting.
Feel: Smooth, very small bumps, and crisp/crunchy.
Speed: A speed that isn't too fast, but not slow. Ever so slightly on the slower side for me. It is very stable.
Corner cutting: Don't know if this is the standard for megaminxes, but 45 regular, and 1/2 reverse. Does enough in preventing some lockups and catches.
Locks/catches: I don't know if this is due to my tensions, but the stability compromises a little of "freedom". Like, it is stable, but stiff at the same time, so locks and catches are somewhat minor. This could be because I have relatively large hands, and/or that i'm not experienced in turning a megaminx.
Overall: Good megaminx for anyone, if setup correctly. All the reviews i've seen were mostly positive, so I decided to get this, but it doesn't really suprised me in any way. But, don't let that be the factor to not get this megaminx, because it is still very good.
Easily the best on the market right now. Kills the YuHu, Dayan, QiYi/XMD Galaxy, and the original Shengshou. Smooth and fast out of the box with great corner cutting and few to no lockups.
The only (tiny) con that I can think of is that it doesn't come in stickerless. Get this puzzle!
I just got this cube about an hour ago and out of the box I can already have to say that it is better than any other megaminx that I have felt. As all of you guys and girls know shengshou products are very lubey and very smooth. I have not set it up at all I left it the way it was out of the box. So as you can see the ShengShou Aurora Megaminx is highly recommended by me.
Just as good as a florian modded SHENGSHOU, with no work needed in modding
best out there get it now! this megaminx is so good, most need to be lose but this does not need to be lose like the others making it better then them all
