Product Description

The ShengShou Gem Megaminx is a new stickerless budget megaminx that has just hit the market. The Gem Megaminx is unique due to its 3-piece corner cap design and black plastic interior. It also features a shiny exterior, and the performance is fairly good right out of the box. Great for beginners and intermediate cubers!

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

It's okay

The Shengshou Gem is pretty okay, I feel you could get much better for the price. It's corner cutting is really bad and it was extremely greasy ootb, although you'll find that's a pattern with most Shengshou puzzles that you buy. I wouldn't call it a speedcube, and again I really think you could get much better for the price.

Good Megaminx for beginners and indeterminate.

well out of the box this cube preformed pretty bad. Cut ahead 2 hrs and the cube is broken in and fast. The corner cutting is not the best but this cube has good speed its smooth and controllable now mine came with middle tensions and i haven't bothered with changing them as they fit me now the only reason that this cube does not get 5 stars is the cap design. Not only does it have individual caps on the corners it has bigger caps that take the whole 3 colors off and they come of so easily that you cant get your nail close our they will fly off. So this is a good Megaminx and i recommend it.

Decently worth it

This puzzle I was not too satisfied with at first due to slipperiness from frosted texture, lock ups ,and prices popped from small drops. Considering the price as opposed to other ones you really can't go wrong with this one as a beginner or as your first megaminx.

Good Budget Megaminx

The Megaminx is good for ten dollars, it experiences minor lockups and is a great beginning Megaminx.

Overall Decent

This is a decent puzzle in my opinion. It can be a bit difficult to grip, and it's not the smoothest turner (thought I would in no way say that it's unpleasant to turn). If you're looking to get into Megaminx, without spending 22$ for a super high end puzzle, this is definitely the way to go.
