The ShengShou Gigaminx is a 12-sided puzzle with one more layer per side than the Megaminx. It is a 5-layered Minx puzzle. The puzzle comes pre-stickered with the standard ShengShou shades. It is also pre-lubricated from the factory, and it turns very easily and smoothly right out of the box.
It comes with a set of factory replacement stickers.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

What can I say? It's a 5x5 megaminx. I love to solve it. The only thing I don't like is the stickers. Shades are good, they just tend to fall off.
I treated myself to this for my birthday and have no regrets! As with many twisty puzzles shipped from China, the thin lube they assemble it with tends to leak to the surface during transit conditions … knowing this, I laid each side on a paper towel when I got it out… keeping it off ones hands is critical to not working the lube under the edges of the stickers, as that is what tends to make them fall off…
Anyway, the movement of all the layers is remarkably tolerant to slight misalignments, so there is no need to rap it on the table periodically to straighten the puzzle or any such things. The only slight issue I had was the sticker alignment itself. I suspect they have a method to apply an entire side at a time, which would lead to such mistakes. Eventually I will get sick of it and re-apply the included extra set of stickers properly, but for now it’s only a minor nuisance.
I only hope that my eventual terraminx purchase works as well as this one does! 🙋🏼♀️
i got some superglue, and superglue the sharp tips of the center edge pieces. it's the only way to deal with the sticker problem. i ran out of stickers when a lot fell off. supergluing the tips really works. before this, i had to be way too careful to keep them from coming off. i will buy stickerless versions as soon as they came out. there is a stickerless Examinx, but that's just overkill.
This is a very fun puzzzle. Comes with an extra sticker set. I ordered a white one came in 3 DAYS!
I don't speed solve this but i know some do, it's the best you can get. The turning is fantastic for a big non-wca puzzle. I enjoy the shades. This doesn't lock up and feels very stable; There isn't too much resistance when turning. I highly recommend this version if you're looking for a gigaminx. Shengshou stickers notoriously fade/peel faster than you'd like but I think it gives the puzzle more personality, not bothersome.
This puzzle is great. Out of the box, it is a little greasy, and it turns very nicely. My one problem with it is that the stickers peel, but it comes with a replacement set for each color, so it's not a big deal.
I think this is an older puzzle. it may still be new. But i think this puzzle was made like the last gen style. it works well for a gigaminx. popping can occure but you have to really force it.
the whole "its not a speed cube" thing is fine, its a gigaminx, not a 3x3x3. but the stickers are terrible. im glad they give you an extra set. but several fell off in the box, few more came off after wiping the lube off. and after a few solves, id say ive had to replace more than 20 individual stickers.
as soon as a sticker less version is made i will immediately order it.
like i said this puzzle just feels a little last gen.
It’s clearly not a speed cube but it’s very good. The stickers peel but don’t come completely off, and it comes with a complete extra set of stickers. I’ve heard it’s better than other gigaminx cubes. If you like the challenge of tedious puzzle solving, I totally recommend it.
That being said, it is the highest quality gigaminx on the market. Its corner cutting it not great, but I think this was intended because it is highly pop-resistant. Comes with full set of extra stickers, but honestly they are not that much of an issue. Very fun to solve, good price as well, I would have been disappointed if it had cost me more than $50.

If you make a stickerless version of this then it will fly off the shelves. I understand how much harder it is to manufacture a stickerless puzzle with all the different kinds of plastic, but more people will buy it if you do.
