The SpeedStacks Timer Bundle Edge GX is a new miniature timer and mat bundle from SpeedStacks that is specifically designed for speedcubers. With a small form factor, the GX Edge timer and mat can be set up just about anywhere.

The GX Edge timer does not use a reset button -- just place your hands on the timer and the timer will automatically reset and start your next solve at the same time.

Please remove the plastic strip in the battery compartment to begin using the timer. The on/off switch is a small button near the battery compartment. Uses 2 AAA batteries.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Perfect for Beginners, and the Price

For the price, this is a really, really good mat and timer. Right out of the plastic packaging I was able to pull the tab and start the battery on the timer and it worked perfectly fine. The sensitivity of the timer is impressive! You do not need to slam your hands down on this. The lightest touch turns it off. Holding your hands on their designated spots will restart the timer. There is a button on the bottom to turn the timer on and off. Connecting both items together was simple. The mat itself is really nice and made of the same material as your mtg mat or mouse pad. I love the pattern on both mat and timer. I’d totally recommend this to anyone looking for a beginner mat and timer for the price and because it’s appearance and performance is far better than expected. - Brain Sauce

Amazing

This is an amazing timer especially for 17 bucks it’s a little small but you’ll get used to it.

Great mat and timer

This was perfect for my 9-year old song who is just getting into cubing. The smaller size works for him and he can easily take it with him.

Amazing for the price

It is just a smaller stack-mat. It works perfectly and if you want a cheaper timer get this one. Still very good quality. I highly recommend.

Its not perfect

It gets the job done, but if you slam your hands down on the timer too hard it resets sometimes which is really annoying because when I do a fast solve I tend to slam down harder, so when it resets it's very infuriating. However, it's a problem easily solved by stopping the timer more gently.

I love this as a portable timer it is great for bringing places without bringing a giant stack mat to places it is so good make some new ones!!!!!!!

just buy a stackmat or use your phone

I really see no use for this for just a couple dollars more you could get a stackmat. I guess that this is intended for children or something but i still see little purpose.

great timer and mat

i really like this mat and timer, it comes in a bundle, so that's kool, and it's portable, will fit any desk, so no worries. dope.

Good for travel

This timer is great for traveling because of it's small formfactor. it's pretty accurate, though having it have milliseconds would be nice. overall it's pretty great.

Great timer, though not for bigger cubes

This timer is great: nice and small and extremely easy to use.
Beware though: it only goes to 9:59:99, after that it falls asleep. I was timing a multi-cube solve (just for fun) and failed to get a result.
