Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

since i got this from a store at my local mall called mindgames, it cost me FIFTY bucks!
i had always stared at it, along with the other cool meffert's and calvin's puzzles, until i rounded up some dough and bought it. long story short, it is by all means, a collection cube at best. it catches pretty often and is super... not scratchy, but, i dunno. scratchy i guess. nonetheless, it is pretty cool, and i would recommend it to any collector.
This puzzle is fun to solve, it does not solve exactly like a 3x3 , but more of 3x3x5. The pieces will occasionally lock up but it’s not difficult to fix. Lube it for better turning.
This is a puzzle I have been wanting for a while, and one that has been recommended to me more than once. I got it, since it was on sale, and I have not been disappointed. It is a very fun puzzle to solve. My only problem with it is that it is a little locky, and a bit loud. However, the turning can be helped with some dnm. Overall, would recommend getting it!
As the title says, this was slightly stiff out of the box, but putting some lube seemed to solve this issue. I wish the price was a bit cheaper though. It turns well and it looks really nice both when scrambled and when solved. I noticed that if you don't scramble the corners and go straight to shape shifting it, the cube solves exactly like a 3x3. However, if you scramble the corners and then start to shape shift the puzzle, the solve gets much more difficult. It's a fun challenge!
This puzzle us fun to solve. Better than the Calvin's version. Out of the box, the X Cube is stiff, but stable... turning just a little bit better than a Rubik's brand puzzle. I recommend this puzzle for cuboid solvers who want something new to have fun with.
I didn't get this puzzle from this website, but I'd still like to say that out of the box, the outer layers are a bit stiff, but you can lube it to make them turn better. I'm a new cuber and I don't have much money, so I used vegetable oil. That works great if you don't have much money. But overall it's a great puzzle that is fun to solve. If you're just looking for a puzzle that is fun, then this is for you.
I bought this puzzle at a competition, and I love it. The turning is crunchy and smooth, and it corner cuts decently. It will need some tensioning out of the box to make it turn a bit better. The sticker quality is really nice. I havent had any chipping or peeling so far. I will note though, do not drop this puzzle. I had one before my current one, and I dropped it and the core snapped. Other than that, I highly reccomend this puzzle.
did the math. there are 2,976,190,476,190,476 times more permutations on this than a regular 3x3
really like the cube :)
I got a store bought one: and it turns amazingly after breaking in.
corners occasionaly pop out and i lockt up sometimes
I don't have the greatest grip so about a week after I bought it I drop it. And it explodes. And the side axels (don't know the real name) broke making it impossible to put together. But still a good cuboid.
