The Yoo Cube

My son has recently become obsessed with finding the perfect cube... and has also become quite a fan of Cubehead. When this cube became available, we bought it immediately and it was instantly his favorite. He grins every time he picks it up. It has the perfect combination of speed, magnetism, and elasticity. I got this cube just this morning.I would have never spent this much on a cube but I really enjoy cubeheads videos and wanted to support his channel. It would’ve been really easy for me to write a five star review praising the cube, but I felt it best to provide a honest review for everyone looking to buy this cube. First off, the cubes a little tight but I honestly prefer it as it adds stability but the corner cutting is still pretty good. The magnet settling is what you would get out of the box so I can’t complain. I prefer stronger magnets and it’s good for that purpose. Now the lubes, it’s definitely unique. I’ve never felt anything like it before so if that’s what your going for than it’s great. My cube is a bit underlubed and has a little spring noise. I know that they’re are ways to fix this but when your paying for a premium product, it’s hopefully perfect. I might be nit-picking, and this review isn’t meant to say this cube is bad, it is far from it. I’ve heard that the stock wrm is a little dry out of the box but I feel like a little lube would do the trick. So if you wanna buy just the wrm I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. This cube does all the dirty work for-tensioning+lubing. You could buy a different cubicle premium wrm and get the same outcome for five dollars cheaper. I wanted to support cubehead so I splurged and went for a 37 dollar cube. I believe that this is still good value for money but when cubes like the rs3m exist it makes the flagships seem less worth it. I don’t think there is anything which would make me get better times on this cube than my rs3m.

Summary: All this being said, this is still a fantastic cube. It checks almost every box but I wanted to just let beginner cubers or people who can’t afford this cube that a budget cube can still help you be an awesome cuber. That’s why I respect cubehead for making his rs3m yo cube. The reason I knocked off one start is just due to the underlubed feel and spring noise. If it’s a birthday or christmas this cube is a good one to add to the list. I’m super thankful for cubehead and the cubicle, so I hope my review isn’t to harsh. Keep up the good work!

The best cube is my main I broke my pb down a bronchial of times so so good

The Gan13 used to be my main and I switched to the Yo cube. The Yo cube has amazing corner cutting. Also, because it has many lubes you need a lot of breaking in before it starts to get good.

This Cube is phenomenal. It is perfectly lubed, and the magnets are already at the strongest strength, which is a perfect balance between doesn't snap, but also does stop the turn. The tools it comes with are all that you need, and the core is easy to change settings. Overall its a amazing cube. Great job CubeHead!

This cube was amazing, I just got the new GAN 14 maglev and my yo cube and it shocked me, I liked the yo cube more!!!!!!!!!! So thanks CubeHead and thanks Phil for that awesome cube.

I bought my yoo cube in in august of this year a was cleaning out the cube today and one of the corners broke I genuinely love the cube however I did not expect something like this to happen if someone at the cubicle sees this would you be able to tell me how I could fix this

BE CAREFUL! LONG READ! Short version: it’s awesome, buy it!

Funny story: I started cubing in 2018 and when I was around 12 seconds in average I made a huge order from the Cubicle. Since then my main cube for almost 3 years became Angstrom Dayan Coated GTS2M. I was super excited for getting it but I finally got it I was disappointed. It was too slow, I mean, I knew that premium cubes required some DNM37 inside and break in, but I didn’t expect that it will need more than 2000 solves to break in, after them it was super nice!
Since this time this cube was used in more than 50000 solves (approximately) and literally every part of it was rubbed off, so I was needing a new cube.

I quited being interested in new cubes and other stuff, so I didn’t know which cube was the best and what should I buy for being my new main.
As I was so used to Moyu cubes I decided to take one of them, but which.
And then on YouTube I found a video about YOOCube. I instantly understood that it is a great commercial project and bla bla bla, but I was so amazed with the sound. I used to work as a cube set-uper in my country (I’m from Russia) and I was so amazed when I heard this sound in the review video.
So that is why I ordered it.

What can I say: Cubicle made a huge improvement since 2018 in terms of how cubes feel out of the box, even though the still need a break in but it much less, than it used to be.
The cube itself is amazing, already set up new ao50 pb, so my average consistency on it is amazing. This were the pluses, what about minuses?

Well, I d love it to be just a bit faster, but pretty sure it can be fixed with one dnm37 drop, but I ran out of it lol.
Next thing is not a cubicle fault, more a Moyu manufacturing. Some of the pieces are not not as smooth at the joints as the others. It is not noticed that badly, but still noticeable. Luckily, it doesn’t affect turning experience, so ye, even taking into account the minuses I’d definitely recommend buying it.

I wish they were more cubes under the YO line, I’ll buy all of them :)
