Product Description

Valk2 M is the first 2x2 produced in the iconic Valk line. Coming in at a slightly larger than the normal 51mm, this puzzle is solidly built with a stable and more substantial feel.

The magnet positions on this 2x2 are unlike any seen on the market. Rather than the typical corner-only magnet layout, the Valk2 M uses a corner/edge magnet layout resembling that of a 3x3. This gives the puzzle a smaller magnetic radius making the feel more consistent throughout the turn.

 Comes with:

  • Valk 2 M
  • Cube box
  • Extra spring set
  • Cleaning cloth
  • Assorted Valk pamphlets

AKA: Valk2 M, Valk2m, valk2m, valk 2m, valk 2 m

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Gonna miss the best 2x2

This thing was the best when I got a black one in 2018 cuz I’m special. It still to this day is the best. I only did 2x2 because of this cube

Get this cube or you are seriously missing out!

Super smooth (after lubing it with Weight 3 and DNM-37)
Very, very controllable
No second magnetic bump (like on other 2x2s where the way the magnets are aligned makes it feel like there was a 2nd bump)
Has a shiny finish (which provides more grip than the frosted finish, seen on Gan cubes)

Really heavy (heavier that my Gan 11 M Pro 3x3)
Takes a while to break in
The sound is, meh

Overall, I LOVE this cube. If you want a decent 2x2, this one is gr8! (Better that my stickerless Gan 251 M)

great 2x2 turns really smoothly. Fun to solve on

Adrian H. (United States)

This is a great puzzle very smooth and after a bit of lube and set up plus about 50 solves its great.

Jacob S. (United States)

I spring swapped it with the mgc and it got super fast and it’s my main even without the spring swap it was controllable

though I didn't buy it here, the Valk 2 m is an amazing cube. Its a bit bad our of the box, but with some setup and breaking-in, I think its the best performing 2x2. My setup on it is Lubicle black on the core(bought it somewhere else) and weight 3 lube on the tracks of 2 corners and 1 edge.

It’s a great gift.

Great cube but... centers move

OOTB it was a little slow but after doing a couple solves and lubing it with silk, it was great but when I was practicing some j perms on it the center as in the nail in the center moved to like a corner piece so I couldn't turn the sides. I didn't see anyone else's cube do this so I could of been just mine. it doesn't happen often tho probably just when u lock up. it has great corner cutting, pretty strong magnets but is still fast. The magnets add great stability.

Real Review

Hi. So this is my second Valk 2 M. My 1st one was the Angstrom version of it. This will be my real Review on it. Ootb, the plastic of the cubes is actually really disgusting. It is apparent that the right plastic wrap around the cube has also left some dry, sticky residue. There is no substance, or solids on the plastic, it's just the feel. But it goes away after 30 solves. The cube itself, (this review is about the normal not set-up version) felt very weird compared to my Angstrom valk. Felt sticky, plasticy, just like the outside of the cube. However, after like 20 solves, it does get better. But I HIGHLY recommend that you set this up with some real lube. Dnm-37 is a great lube, but mainly affects speed, and not the actual feel. I really wanted the same feel as the Angstrom valk, so I used my gravitas and dignitas to lube it. Now it feels just like my 1st valk. Only complaint. Is that there was a annoying spring noise on one side, but went away after 4 days of casual solve. Has really good corner cutting. And after about 2-3 weeks of solving, will start feeling even faster, something the valk 2 m is notorious for not being.

Tl;dr. Good cube. Weird feeling on both outside of cube and in turning (feel) and might have spring noise. Recommend Angstrom setup either from the cubicle or do it yourself. Once the cube becomes Angstrom, you will appreciate the feel and the cube will never go back to being boring

Good Cube, Bad Mech

so in case you don't know, it has the mech of a 3x3, but the edges dont protrude all the way to the surface. Now, three of these edges, all adjacent to one another forming a triangle, are connected to three adjacent centers via ridges that extend from the edge into a slot on the center. this is to prevent the inner edges from not turning all the way and completely locking the cube. but if you do an alg to fast or try to corner cut too deep, the ridges will slip out of their slots and not go back in and you will have to tear the cube apart and rebuild it. This is incredibly frustrating and if you are a fast turning this may happen often.
