The X-Man Galaxy Megaminx from QiYi is the latest and greatest megaminx to hit the market. It features a variety of design improvements over previous megaminx puzzles that are sure to make it one of the most sophisticated megaminxes on the market today.
Several different versions are available for the X-Man Galaxy Megaminx, but all of them feature the same core and internal structure. The difference is in the outer caps of the puzzle, which is modular in design and can be swapped for other caps. This version features an outer surface that is convex (the caps slightly bulge out, similar to tiles).

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

By the way, I am only reviewing the convex version. My opinions of this puzzle are very good, but I will only talk about the convex part. If you want a review of the cube itself, look at a different review. Not bad, once you get used to it. It isn't actually concave, the plastic comes out in basically the opposite of ridges. It looks rad, once you get the yj budget megaminx out of your head. At first, the grip is hard, but after a day you get used to it. However, I have the dayan with ridges, and although it isn't a too good cube, the ridges are much easier to grip. My conclusion: You should get the one with ridges, but if you wanna try this, or the ridges are out of stock or something, buy this amazing megaminx!!! :)
This puzzle is very fast and bumpy. Corner cutting is really good. The shades are a bit bright, but they're easy to get used to. The only problem I really have with this puzzle is that, with the pieces being tiles, my fingernails catching underneath the pieces. Other than that, everything checks out in my book.
Yuhu in the sense of grip. Otherwise, its good, but get the sculpted.
Let me get this strait, it is a good megaminx, but the convexness make it have no grip none at all
