Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Out of the box, my cube had medium-tight tensions and it was fast. There was quite a bit of friction in between the layers, but after loosening it a little and adding 8 drops of Lubest XMT, the layers were much easier to turn and it had a smooth feel. The magnets on the cube are very strong. I have not experienced a "5x5 style lockup" or pops on this cube. As long as you have a light turning style and let the magnets do their thing, catching and lockups are nonexistent. I can definitely achieve a high TPS on this cube with no problem. The cube feels solid and premium; it doesn't feel airy and it certainly doesn't feel cheap. I recommend it on medium-tight tensions with a fast lube.
If you're looking for the best possible 5x5, you cannot go wrong with the MGC.
Solid cube with pretty strong magnets. Just learning to solve the 5x5 and this was a good place to start. Little bit of a break-in period and the magnets sometimes snap pretty loud so doing it quietly isn't always an option. Overall pretty good though, would recommend.
the MGC 5x5 is a great cube. the only problem with mine is that right out of the box the red side was very clicky. There might be a magnet loose. but overall, great cube definitely would recommend
Very nice cube
Let me start by saying that I have modded my MGC 5x5 is a few ways that I will mention later in the review. Modding is not required to enjoy it though. :)
Out of the box, it does seem to be a little slow. What I recommend doing is dropping 1 drop of DNM on each layer before trying to do a ton of turns, to make it feel nicer for your first impressions. I personally like the Yoo Setup on my big cubes, it seems to work well.
I modded my MGC 5x5 by making is maglev and giving it a magnetic core. The turning is now pretty light and kind of feels like a GAN cube, without the auto alignment. It turns nice and the corner cutting is pretty good for being on tighter tensions.
Definitely recommend this, but I also like the Valk 5 M as well.
Very good, I liked them.
This is by far then best 5x5 out there. I’ve tried the valk, which is the only other one that is comparable to the mgc (until X-man released a new one), and it was mid. In some aspects it was better, but it was too expensive for those aspects to be worth anything. It’s slightly smaller, with slightly better corners cutting. But not worth the extra $30. This one’s is much better, and even thought your sacrificing like, 5 degrees of corner cutting and 1mm of size, but you shouldn’t be corner cutting on a 5x5 in the first place, so it doesn’t pop. And that extra mm is nothing. If you want to get good or are just beginning the event, don’t buy the valk, get this. As for the X-man 5x5 I couldn’t say anything for it isn’t even out yet. But unless the $30 difference between both of those and this is worth it for some reason, get this one
VERY GOOD CUBE. DEFINITELY BUY IT!
This cube is so good, there is no words to describe it.
Good cube. Enjoying it
