Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

It might have to do with setup (I just lubed it and used it out of the box.) or my turning style, but two differences from the X-Man Spark.
(1) The MGC popped on my second (untimed) solve and and two pieces came out. The Spark has popped, too, but only once or twice since I've had it. It's better now since I tightened the screws and am more careful with my turning.
(2) The MGC outer magnets seem to be weak compared to the Spark M, so on the edge pairing stage and 3x3 stage I often find myself accidentally turning inner layers and messing up the centers.
So, while the MGC is quite smooth, I find I have to turn slower on it (compared to the Spark).
The cube came a little loose but a little tensioning made it so much better. Cubicle also lubed the cube so it makes it turn smoother than your peanut butter. Best 7x7 on the market.
There is not much more to say about this cube other than the fact that it is great. It’s borderline if not the best 7x7 on the market. I will say that you will probably have to tighten it a little bit after you get it. Extremely good!
I can turn this faster than my 5x5.
For the price very good fast and controllable you should buy it
This is absolutely the best 7x7. I got it for christmas, and it totally makes me want to solve it as opposed to my old YLM. has had one lock up in the last week and hasn't popped once. absolutely reccomend it to beginners and advanced solvers.
It turns amazingly right out of the box, would recommend to anyone who wants a really good 7x7.
After watching multiple 7x7 reviews online, I decided that the first 7x7 cube that I would purchase for myself was this YJ MGC 7x7. This cube feels great right out the box, it turns and locks into place really good. It’s very smooth and fast. I recommend everyone to try this cube out if you’re looking for great 7x7.
This is my first 7x7 and its a joy to solve. Out of the box, the puzzle felt like most of the MGC line, a little dry and slightly loose but ready to solve. After some setup, this puzzle turned into something special. The magnets are very nicely setup on this one especially when compared to the weaker inner layer magnets on the MGC 6x6. I never get misaligned layers with this puzzle and it can even corner cut at almost 45% which is crazy for a cube this large (Does require proper tensions). I have had this puzzle pop a few times when doing fast turns but it wasn't doing anything out of my expectations. I rarely get a catch on this cube and when it does happen its usually for an obvious reason. If you liked the MGC 5x5 or 4x4, then you will know what to expect from this puzzle. If you disliked their 6x6 cube like I did, don't shy away from this one.
I got the cps service on mine so ootb tensions were decent and the puzzle felt very smooth and swishy but crispy when turning fast. The speed is slower than the Hays7, but this is not an issue as it’s still plenty fast. All layers felt even in feeling and speed. Feeling and speed is great, but pops and lockups hold it back. Even on moderate tensions the popping and centerpieces locking was too much, as on my second or third solve I had a complete explosion and a quarter of the cube was all over the room. My suggestion is to keep the tensions tighter than you usually would for 7x7 and apply some light lube to keep the turning and corner cutting up to par. I got a 2:41 single and a sub 3 ao12 on this cube so it has main potential but I’m still worried that it’s popping issue can reoccur. However the price for its outstanding qualities is excellent and shouldn’t be forgotten.
