The 2x2 Gear Cube features 2 layers of gears, and so it resembles a 2x2 cube. It feels sturdy and turns smooth right out of the box.

Our Promise to You
All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.
Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Unlike all of the other reviews, I found this cube pretty nice. The turning is nice, but its nothing very noticeable. Also the pulling apart was quite easy. This is a fun puzzle to try to figure out on your own. I suggest not to look it up and try to do it yourself. I would recommend this puzzle
just not good its could barley spin and i had to pull with all my force for the two sides to come apart
Out of the box, this was the worst puzzle in my collection (except for my rubiks 4x4), the pulling was very hard, it turned poorly. but after some days of breking in, and pulling, this is actually pretty good. my only problem with this is that the sticker quality is pretty bad, and that once you know how to solve it, it is not realy such a fun puzzle. but it is a creative design tho.
it turns so well i love it but the downside i can't find stickers for it . but it was great .
When I got it out of the box, the cube had great turning but sickish pulling apart. After a few days the pulling got much easier.
When I first got this cube the splitting apart part was ver stiff and hard to pull. but putting a little lube helps for being a knockoff it's great but it's stiil not that good compared to a normal gear cube.
I like this puzzle and I enjoy solving it. The turning is AWESOME!
However, I have use a lot of force to split up the sides.
The sticker quality isn't that great too.
Overall, I totally like this cube and it's worth it's price, but if you want something better, get the Meffert's original version.
I thought this knockoff would be more like the Mefferts 2x2 gear shift when I ordered it (I'm a serious money-saver). If you want a better preforming 2x2 gear cube than definitely get the Mefferts one; its only a few bucks more. However, I still like this a lot and its really fun and easy to solve.
defiantly the best turning puzzle in my collection. and the most fun to solve. great work, especially for a knock off product
This is a fun puzzle to solve but onne pproblem i had was the axis shifting things were a little tight, other than that its a great puzzle.
For those who dont know the difference between a gear cubbe and gear shift, its tthe same thing.
