X-Man Tornado V3 M Flagship 3x3 (Magnetic Core)

I ordered this about 4 days ago I was very excited when it came I opened it turned it and it felt AMAZING but then the orange side completely fell apart and I thought it was a pop but it wasn’t and the core had broke and the center piece couldn’t stay on so I have to return this and then wait longer than I should have to use this without being disappointed

But I bet it is a very good cube and I just got unlucky

The cube is amazing. Really. For 2 weeks, that is.
Out of the box, the cube felt amazing. With some lube and tensioning, my times were down 2 to 3 secs with this cube.
Just a few days ago, I felt something strange on the blue side, it was extremely loose, so I took all the centre caps off, and to my surprise the blue centre had a strange feel to it. The adjustment system was almost floating above the centre piece and did not respond to any tensioning. Even on tensions 5 and 5, the tension system did not respond. Upon further inspection, I found that the core had stripped, cracked, and was now fully unusable. When doing just a couple solves, the blue side would eventually unscrew itself and come off. On top of that, it was extremely loose.

AlI can say is that the cube deserves the hype, and that it feels better than all the GAN cubes. Though I do not know if one would like to spend 30 dollars on a cube that only works for a week. I don't know if qiyi will be fixing this, making a new design, or perhaps they will just leave that cube as it is, but I believe it's not worth it. Many people have experienced this issue on Reddit and on here too, and I believe qiyi needs to make some sort of fix.

It's your choice, take the the risk if you wish, perhaps this would not happen to your cube. I just believe it's not worth taking the risk.

I got this cube about 2 weeks ago, and it was amazing! In fact, it was instantly my main, I loved this cube.
In the past week, everything has been falling apart. Literally. It started when one of the corner magnets fell out of place. The Cubicle was very helpful and sent me a new corner. Soon after, I noticed that one corner and one edge seemed to be catching when turning next to each other. I investigated and I found that one of the magnets on the core had fallen off and attached itself to the corner. A few moments before I decided to write this review, I noticed that the orange side is completely falling apart and appears to be broken. I am so fed up, this cube is good, but if it's going to completely break within 2 weeks, it's really not.

Edit: TheCubicle was very helpful with my issue, I reached out to them and they ended up sending me a new one from the more recent batches. QiYi has slightly changed the design of this cube to now include a much more stable ball-core, and I believe that changed the glue for the magnets as well (don’t quote me on that). These changes are definitely for the better and I haven’t had any issues since. I couldn’t thank TheCubicle more for their generous help!

Now I have been using this cube for a couple of days already, and I can safely say that this is a solid cube.

HOWEVER, I seem to have pretty much the same issue as the last review - let me explain.

Like one of the other reviews, my orange center has some issues. Although not popping, it does have a problem. This orange center screw is turning as the orange layer turns, when you pull the layer out.
I first noticed this after around 100 solves. This is definetely a problem you may have to consider when buying this product.

Then again, i probably just got unlucky and got a defect.

It's good but my core is broken

Long answer:
Im not kidding. It's like all of the good qualities of a gan 11 m pro mixed with the feel of a tornado v2: Great feel, good corner cutting, quiet (not as quiet as the v2 though), stable, fast, light, and it even has a glossy surface (like UV coated gans). The size is also great as it is slightly smaller than most cubes but not enough to be an issue (you can get used to it very easily coming from maining a 56 or a 55 mm cube). Super customizeable. I have found ZERO flaws with this cube. Unbelievable cube for a great price.

Why are you still here? Go buy it!

My son is 10 years old and just started a month ago into cubing and is getting so addicted. This was his third cube that he purchased with his savings. He was very excited cubing and on the second day it fell on the floor and one piece came apart and broke the little edges. He was very dissapointed. I sent an email to The Cubicle, and they were so professional. They sent a repair part and a video explaining how to fix it. My son was so excited to be able to fix it himself. Great Product and Excellent Customer service.

This cube is AMAZING. The unboxing was very premium except one of the magnets on my case wasn't glued in properly. Whether it worked or not I am still going to end up throwing away the case because I don't need the packaging. With the out of the box settings the cube turned fairly well. It feels similar to the RS3M, just a lot more smooth. The corner cutting is good enough and only a few times have I had bad lock-ups. The cube is the perfect speed and maintains a lot of stability even while turning fast.
On my first day using the cube I set some insane PBs. I got an 11.98 ao5 (pb by over a second) and my first sub-14 ao12. I decided to set up the cube today and settled on the mystic setup for the Tornado v2. This is axis distance and spring compression set to 2 and magnets set to 3. Then I added mystic, weight 5 (I don't have 4) and dnm-37. The cube is about the same speed but is smoother and a little gummy. I would definately reccomend this setup.
My only complaint other than the lack of magnet glueing in the case is the corner twists. Since I got the cube I have already had 2 corner twists. It is not a huge deal but can be annoying when it happens. Also, I can't seem to notice the core magnets doing anything. I am sure they are helping stabilize the cube but they don't add to the magnetic click after each turn.
Overall, I would highly reccomend this cube and it has become my new main over the wrm 2021 maglev.

This cube came really scratched and looked used. The cube was great though. This was not just one item, but my whole order of cubes came scratched up, looked used, and some parts chipped. Very disappointing.
