This Cubers' Home DIY Kit converts any MoYu WeiLong WR M 2021 into one with a magnetic core! All magnets in this kit come preinstalled in their respective components. 

Kit includes: 

  • 8 corner base magnet components 
  • 2 magnet core shells 

This kit works on the following cubes: 

Please note attaching the corner base magnet components requires glue. If you need glue, please see this product. Alternatively, most plastic-friendly glue like superglue should work.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Worked great

We bought these to upgrade 2 Moyu Weilong WR M cubes. Unfortunately it only worked on the 2021 maglev and not the WR Series. The pieces on the WR series has a piece sticking out of their corner pieces. This prevents you from adding magnets to the corner pieces. That said, it was simple to install on the maglev version. A little bit of super glue and everything was working in about 20 minutes.

The biggest problem I have with the Moyu Weilong WR M 2021 maglev is it's lack of magnetic feel. To me it feels like they put the weakest magnets in the cube that they could. This was definitely an upgrade for it and improved it's corner alignment at the end of the rotations. I can't say it gives it a strong magnetic feel or assisted alignment. Only that it's stronger and it stops where it should when your done with your turns. I do recommend this kit and will be using it on other Moyu cubes as I get them.

Good upgrade for the WRM 2021

To be honest, I was worried this would make my WRM 2021 too heavy or make it feel too different, but that wasn't the case. The magnetic feel is very subtle and almost unnoticeable, but the cube feels more stable and solid while retaining its feeling. Also, even though the cube feels heavier, it isn't a big deal. TL;DR: it sucks, 10/10

Excellent kit for the WR M

Like many others, I love the WR M Maglev but find it a smidge unstable at times. I've played around with different tensionings and lubes, but this magnet kit is what finally got it to feel perfect for me. The cube still is ultra smooth and fast, but the extra core magnets help it feel more stable and snappy. It also made the cube feel slightly heavier, which I personally like. If you feel like your WR M could use a bit of extra stability this kit will definitely help with that. Whether that's worth $10 to you is another question though. It was for me, but if you don't have a lot to spend on cubes, then this is not essential. I didn't have any issues with installation or broken clips like others have mentioned, but that may vary from one set to another. I also tried to be super careful installing it since I had read some reviews mentioning the tabs being breakable.

EASY TO INSTALL...

The package came well protected, and good to go.

Install was easy- the shells snapped around the core, and the corner pieces fit like a glove and glued in solid.

It gives the cube a more solid feel, and I really didn't notice a shift in weight. Worth the money.

Great!

I think that this magnet set is amazing! It allows you to turn a little bit harsher without overturning as much, but it does lose some of its smoothness because the magnets pull it into place a lot stronger. I still really think that it is overall an awesome upgrade than without, just takes a little getting used to.
