Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Less is More

After watching countless reviews on this cube, and finally getting it shipped, this instantly became my main... or maybe because it is my first speed cube. But that is because I decided to choose this over any other budget pick.

Of course, you probably know that this cube is fast, smooth, and has an incredible feeling. I chose the 56 mm because my hands are quite long, but any other version is viable. The corner cutting is superb! It can cut past 45 forward and line-to-line reverse. But what really matters is the smaller cuts, which are effortless, satisfying, and does not make an obnoxiously loud snap little other cubes. Quite the opposite actually. You do not even need the guide to adjust the tensions, just turn counter-clockwise. First turns was really a pleasant experience.

Now as I have had this cube for a few months, there was one - only ONE - flaw I can find with this cube. That was its instability. The cube only has a screw adjustment system, so you either have a flexy and flimsy cube, or a tight cube. My cube is on setting 4 (5 is the tightest), and I do not find the tight settings getting in the way of my turning. I find that putting it on settings 3 and below just made the cube too unstable and uncontrollable. Oh, and I did not realize that this cube came with a second glossy coating of delicious factory lube. Too bad it wore off pretty quickly.

To help slow the cube down, I use Fz-clam and Angstrom Gravitas. This combo works really well on the Guhong Pro because it keeps it from too fast. Like a Wrm v9... Just apply Gravitas to 2 spots and add 2 drops of Fz-calm, you will not believe how SMOOTH it is.

Overall, this cube basically dropped me to sub-15 (I was averaging 16 with a borrowed Gan 356 M), and I highly recommend it to beginners and pros alike. Just take it from Cubehead's recommendations (yooo).
